GALA Scholarship
The Rice Gay and Lesbian Alumni Scholarship is designed to encourage and reward leadership and service to the lesbian and gay community, both on campus and in the community at large. Go to http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~stact/gala.html for more information and for an application.

Not Alone
a confidential support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning people who want a supportive environment, via e-mails and group meetings, where they can talk about their concerns. The location of the group meetings, as well as any e-mail correspondence, will be kept entirely confidential. For information, contact Nancy Elliott.

Peer Health Information and Support (PHIS) Hotline
The Peer Health Information and Support (PHIS) service is a student-run resource provider for men and women who have questions relating to crisis intervention, contraception, gynecological care, sexually transmitted infections, crisis pregnancy, depression, issues of sexual orientation, substance abuse, eating disorders, dating violence, rape crisis, and sexual harassment. They are available from 12:00 pm until 2:00 am seven days a week. All calls are anonymous and confidential. Call at 713.569.4000. President's Council on GLBT Campus Climate
The council works to improve the campus climate for sexual minorities and deal constructively with homophobia and heterosexism. To contact the group with concerns, suggestions or questions, e-mail glbtcouncil@listserv.rice.edu.

Rice Ally Program
A student, faculty, and staff educational program with goals of raising awareness about the ways homophobia and heterosexism impact everyone, and teaching skills of being an Ally to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons. To become a Rice Ally, you must first attend an Ally training session. For more information, please contact allyprogram@rice.edu.
