About the CSters: Rice Society for Women in Computer Science
CSters is a club at Rice University created as a network for individuals interested in Computer Science. We specifically support female enrollement in Computer Science at Rice, however, we extend an open invitation to all individuals interested in the potential of Computers.
CSters was founded in the Spring of 2002 by a group of female Computer Science undergraduates who realized more should be done to encourage women to study this fascinating field. We have informative lunch talks bi-weekly in in which we invite speakers from the Rice faculty as well as from industry to provide a variety of perspectives on the utility of Computer Science. Please see our meeting date page for topics of specific meetings. If you are interested in learning about the potential of Computer Science, please come to one of our meetings.
For a more detailed description of who we are and what we were founded to do, please see our constitution.
